CONFESSION: I am a nurse and a networking marketing professional.

I am NOT ashamed.

Actually... I am incredibly PROUD!

I am incredibly THANKFUL!

I think maybe I was one of the lucky ones.

I knew NOTHING about network marketing (MLM's) or "pyramid schemes" before joining the Beachbody team.

I didn't have a tainted view because of companies like Amway. I never had any experiences with "sale-sy distributors."

I WAS LUCKY.

The more and more I read & learn about my profession... the more I understand WHY people are so skeptical. I don't know that I would be completely ALL IN either if I had to buy a bunch of "STUFF" every month or every quarter just to be eligible for commissions, bonuses, incentives, etc. <---- PS I do NOT have to do that as a Beachbody Coach.

I don't know that I would see the BIG picture if I was forced to maintain a certain level of performance.

Ok... enough complaining :)

What I ABSOLUTELY LOVE about my profession, as a network marketer, is that my success is directly related to the degree to which I am willing to work to find other people like ME who are committed to SUCCESS. I mean really.... it's up to ME.

FYI:

The Direct Selling Association recently celebrated its 100-year anniversary, so it's a tried and true business model that's proven to be solid. Network Marketing is NOT going anywhere. I learned this from Sarah Robbins.

Network Marketing is a profession that PAYS you on your PERFORMANCE. Isn't that how it SHOULD be?

Now ------> I LOVE the nursing field. LOVE it. I will always be a nurse, I just don't want to rely on nursing for my paycheck. Here is why...

As a nurse... I LOVED my patients (as many, not all, of us do). But here is the deal.... I can BUST my butt to give EVERY SINGLE medication, start every bag of fluid, begin each antibiotic, & complete every procedure, RIGHT ON TIME... and no one would notice.

The nurse who works EFFICIENTLY & KINDLY is not paid ANY more (and sometimes LESS) than the nurse who sits in the nurses station eating her bagel, asking her nursing assistant to do everything, and finding a loop hole in the computer system to make it LOOK like all her medications were passed on time.

It's crooked.

The nurse who spends QUALITY time with their patients and family even though she hasn't  sat down in over 7 hours is paid the same (or less) than the nurse who turns her patient phone OFF - because she wants to have about 5 minutes of uninterrupted silence.

Now... I am NOT hating on nurses. I am not claiming to be a perfect nurse. I am just saying...

I WOULD MUCH RATHER BE PAID ON MY PERFORMANCE!

Network Marketing allows me to design a professional life that fits around the rest of my life. It allows me to choose my dream LIFE over a dream JOB.

There was definitely an OLD way of network marketing. It was sale-sy, pitch-y, uncomfortable, filled with pressure, focused on numbers, and up-selling.

This is the NEW face of network marketing.

We are all Network Marketing Professionals.

What makes us different?

  • We care about PEOPLE.
  • We invest in relationships.
  • We help people even when they don't BUY something.
  • We don't use guilt or pressure to "close a sale."
  • We focus on freedom & adding VALUE to others.
  • We share with each other, we don't compete.
  • Our products are ones that actually HELP people!
  • We CHOOSE who we work with!

There are so many reasons why I love being a part of this team. These people are some of my very best friends... the more THEY succeed- the more I succeed!

If I had to choose my DREAM job all over again - I would STILL choose Network Marketing

The BEST part?

The products we offer aren't candles, makeup, or lotions. Those are all great. But our products focus on HEALTH & CONFIDENCE. They change your life. They do. Weight loss and fitness is NOT just about losing pounds or inches. It's about being PROUD of your personal accomplishment, your progress, your journey. Its about being CONFIDENT because you like the way you look. It isn't ALL about outer beauty/physique.... but taking care of your body is important. When you are UNHAPPY with your body - it spills over to OTHER parts of your life.... because you are DISCONTENT

I love helping women find their confidence. I LOVE IT.

We will have haters. We will have people who do not understand.... and that is OK.

I can promise you - this group of women here, and many many more, are changing lives, helping others, & achieving THEIR family's dreams.

I hope you will consider joining my team. It WILL change your life.

3 Day Shakeology CLEANSE!

The 3 Day Shakeology cleanse for ME is not about weightLOSS...
For me... I did the cleanse BEFORE Thanksgiving so that I felt GUILT free to indulge on the holiday

I was reminded of how LITTLE water I have been drinking. I SLEPT better on the cleanse. Digestion gets a little RESTART. Metabolism got a BOOST with Green Tea. Plateau kicked the bucket  And you don't starve yourself!

I am so glad I did the cleanse before Thanksgiving. I have maintained my weightloss - but again, that wasn't my focus.

I plan on doing this AGAIN before Christmas.

Anyone want to join me for a PRE-Christmas 3 Day Shakeology Cleanse Group?

Here are my cleanse results from BEFORE Thanksgiving:

Last time I cleansed I lost 7lbs on the scale. This time - not that much. I do have more muscle this go-around though.

Here are the results of my PREVIOUS cleanse:

This cleanse is for MEN & WOMEN. Some women in my PRE-Thanksgiving group lost 10lbs on this 3 day cleanse!

This cleanse is NOT for anyone who is pregnant or a nursing mom.

The cleanse is a challenge - but you EAT FOOD throughout the 3 days. NO STARVING!
You have a group of friends SUPPORTING you in the private Cleanse Facebook Group!

Reasons to do the cleanse:

Kickstart your fitness journey.
Come OFF a fitness plateau!
Challenge yourself!
Boost metabolism.
Prepare for HOLIDAY eating without GUILT!

If you are interested in joining my next CLEANSE group - you must FIRST be signed up for a

We HATE P90X!

Just kidding.... My FIRST Fitness LOVE was P90X!

Why?

Because... it got me:

  • OFF the couch.
  • Un-addicted to Double Stuffed Oreos
  • 13lbs LIGHTER
  • 10% LESS body fat
  • ....and a WHOLE lot more CONFIDENT in my body!

There is NO DOUBT that P90X delivers REAL results!

Especially paired with Shakeology! I started my journey with the P90X Challenge Pack January 1st, 2013 & NEVER looked back!

I remember my LAST P90X workout was on my birthday, March 31st 2013! That was the BEST birthday! I was finally NOT a quitter. I could HONESTLY say I NEVER skipped a workout for the entire 90 days....

But... MY GOSH... that was some MENTAL strength!

The workouts are SO LONG for most people... Most people do not want to spend 60 minutes a day working out - or 90 minutes doing Yoga - especially people who are JUST STARTING on their fitness journey.

Now there are only 9 days left until the official release of P90X3!!

You can get it from me at an introductory price starting on the 10th!
It's not a graduate program - so its no biggie if you never did P90X or P90X2 (or if they are collecting dust on your shelf).

P90X3 is insane.... 30 minute workouts!!

Think of P90X in half the time!

If you are like me & LOVE strength training and intense workouts but don't have hours to spend at the gym ... then you need to check out X3!
I got amazing results from P90X! I will always attribute the start of my fitness journey to P90X... but if X3 would've been available... I DEFINITELY would've chosen SHORTER workouts!

I cannot wait to start X3

I will be running a P90X3 test group with an exclusive number of participants. Details to come!!!  But get signed up now to be on the list to get the details!

Make sure you have a customer account with me as your coach! And you will get all the details!!

Weight Loss: How do you measure your progress?

Is the SCALE Your Go-To Tool for Weight loss Progress?

I used to be a SLAVE to the scale. Now, I am completely against the idea of letting the scale decide your success. In some cases the scale can be your worst enemy.

The number on the scale is not the most important thing to keep an eye on. You must understand the difference between muscle and fat. Muscle is very GOOD for the body, and as most understand excessive FAT is NOT GOOD for the body.

When we exercise, we burn fat (which often results in losing weight); however, exercising also helps build muscle which means that we gain weight as well. If all we do to measure our progress is WEIGH ourselves, we will be missing out on all the IMPROVEMENTS being made to our physique!

If we could only shift our mindset to GETTING FIT and not merely LOSING WEIGHT. Yes, your weight can be an indication of how fit you are but it is not the only way to judge your fitness level OR your progress towards your fitness goals.

While 1lb of muscle is equal to 1lb of fat, muscle takes up MUCH less space. The result of a body with lean muscle is a smaller & tighter physique.

These changes can be measured in different ways:

1. You can take regular measurements to see improvements.
It is very important to keep an eye on the changes as these will tell you if your ‘workout plan’ is effective or if you are hitting a “plateau.”

2. It is also a good idea to take pictures of yourself intermittentlyas this is where I have seen the MOST changes!
3. Many people measure progress by how their clothes fit them. Do you look better in it now? Does it fit better? Is the shirt tighter or lose?

So, hopefully you will use the scale as ONE progress tool, and not the ULTIMATE measurement of progress! Remember that a healthy lifestyle & a fitness transformation is a JOURNEY!

Go 1% further!

Have you ever asked yourself if you ENJOY your workout?

I know that may be a dumb question to most people. Most people would say.... no I do not ENJOY my workout - I just do it because I know it needs to be done & check it off my list!

IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY!! I promise!!

I started Body Beast 2 weeks ago - & I am in love!! I have always loved lifting heavy. There is just something about this program though! It is efficient, not too chatty, very challenging, and the nutrition plan is SO complete!

I have honestly enjoyed ALL of the nutrition suggestions as well as the recipes. I have moified my plan a bit as I am still trying to lower my body fat & build lean muscle.

I am taking all of the supplements according to my calorie intake goals. YES! These supplements are natural & SAFE for women to take too!

So far... my favorite workout is BACK & BI's.

Like I said, the food in this program is SIMPLE & tastes so good!! Here is a picture of my BEAST Banana Protein Pancakes I made the other day for breakfast. They are dense, because of the protein (I assume), but they are still delicious!! I am going to play around with the recipe this week & I will update you on any changes I make to the recipe to make them a little bit fluffier.

My #1 goal in this program is to LEAN OUT my legs and build visible muscle. My legs have always been my "trouble area." They are the body part that takes MUCH longer to respond to intense exercise. So I am lifting as heavy as I possibly (safely) can & pushing myself as hard as I can!

Are you doing the same? I am shooting for a "10" (effort) with every single workout.

If you need someone to help hold you accountable or push you to go 1% further... just contact me! I would love to be that person for you!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

xoxo,
Brittany
